The cottage was larger than we expected and in perfect condition, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. the sitting area was spacious and tastefully decorated, making it a cozy place to relax after a day of exploring the nearby attractions. One of the highlights for us was the lovely garden area, perfect for our dog Angus to run around in. the community woodland beyond the garden was a nice bonus, offering peaceful walks in nature. the kitchen was well-equipped with modern appliances, and the bedrooms were comfortable with two excellent bathrooms. Overall, Shunters Cottage offered excellent value for money with its convenient location near Melrose and Galashiels, as well as the train station for easy access to Edinburgh. Highly recommended for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the beautiful Melrose area.
